Actress-singer Kristin Chenoweth will receive the 2,555th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today, honoring a career that has brought her both a Tony and an Emmy.
Television legend Carol Burnett and Kenny Ortega, the director of the “High School Musical” trilogy, will join Chenoweth in speaking in the 11:30 a.m. ceremony next to the Pantages Theatre.
The ceremony comes one week before the premiere of the Disney Channel made-for-television musical “Descendants,” in which Chenoweth portrays “Sleeping Beauty” villain Maleficent. “Descendants” was directed by Ortega.
