A 68-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on the Pasadena (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said today.
The vehicle, a 2003 Nissan Frontier, struck a concrete bridge rail on the right shoulder of the freeway, near Sixth Street at 9:10 p.m. Friday, a California Highway Patrol collision report said.
A second person in the car was hospitalized with major injuries, the report said.
Northbound lanes of the freeway were closed for about three hours during the investigation.
