There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in the latest drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery and the estimated jackpot for the May 21 drawing is expected to grow to about $114 million.
The numbers drawn the evening of May 17 were 23, 32, 39, 47, 49 and the Powerball number was 22. The estimated jackpot was about $100 million.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 175,223,510, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 31.85.
The Powerball game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Just the same, there were no tickets sold with all six numbers in the May 17 SuperLotto Plus drawing and the estimated jackpot for the May 21 drawing will grow to about $68 million.
Three tickets with five numbers, but missing the Mega number, were sold, and each is worth $19,542, the California Lottery announced.
The numbers drawn tonight were 2, 4, 20, 24, 27 and the Mega number was 10. The jackpot was $66 million.
The drawing was the 38th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 41,416,353, according to the SuperLotto Plus website.
