David Gindler has been named Chairman of the Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC), one of the world’s preeminent choirs and the resident chorus of the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The Hancock Park resident, whose three-year term began May 21, has served on the Chorale’s Board of Directors since 2008. He is a partner at the law firm of Irell & Manella LLP, where he specializes in complex commercial litigation. Gindler succeeds Mark Foster, who served as chairman for eight years and continues on the Chorale’s Board of Directors as the newly appointed Vice Chair for The Music Center, representing LAMC on The Music Center Foundation Board of Directors. Foster was honored at the Chorale’s gala last fall for his dedicated service to the organization.
A native of Los Angeles, Gindler is an ardent supporter of the performing arts. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Master Chorale, he is Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Antaeus Company. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. He met his wife, Kiki Ramos Gindler, who also is a Los Angeles native and shares his passion for the performing arts, while attending Pomona College. Like David, Kiki is an attorney and formerly practiced corporate and entertainment law before devoting her full time to writing, civic affairs, and support of the performing arts. Kiki serves on the Board of Directors of the Women’s Refugee Commission, the Board of Governors of the Ojai Music Festival and Center Theatre Group.
