A recent parking study indicated that there are many more parking spots just off San Vicente than realized; most are in office buildings. The BCC is beginning an outreach campaign to see if any of these spots can be used by employees working along San Vicente. The goal is to reduce the number of cars competing for metered spots or parking in the residential neighborhoods.
Douglas Emmett, which runs several buildings in the area, will now open up 100 spots to local workers during evenings and weekends. The cost to park will be just $3 a day. The BCC will continue to reach out to other parking lot operators in an attempt to broaden this program.
