BRENTWOOD CRIME UPDATE
Crime in Brentwood will still down 15%. Burglary theft from motor vehicle crime is inching its way up. Remove all property from your vehicle. Lock your doors and windows, and set the alarms on all vehicles. Remember, during vehicle related crimes most vehicles will be damaged in some way. This will be an additional cost and inconvenience to you.

our community and to the prevention of crime. The database is accessed only by
the LAPD.

The below listed crimes, are grouped by type, street and listed by hundred blocks, not by exact addresses.

Robbery (definition: Someone takes your property from you by force or fear)
11700 Gorham Ave, Suspect attempted to grab victim purse and run off
Prevention: be aware of your surroundings don�t carry large sums of money, and never display your money or jewelry in public.

Burglary (definition: Someone enters a dwelling and removes your property without your permission)
7 Residences were broken into. 5 had their window or doors smashed, kicked, or pried, and 1 had left their doors and windows open. Items taken were DVD, tools, TV, computer, laptop, vehicles, video equipment, and musical instruments.
2 were construction sites.
LOCATIONS: 100 S. Saltair Ave., 1000 S. Bundy Dr, 1200 N. Amalfi Dr, 11700 Kiowa Ave, 11700 Wilshire Blvd, 12300 Montana Ave and 13000 W. Sunset Blvd.
Prevention: Always lock your home or business and set your alarm.

Grand Theft Auto (definition: Someone takes your vehicle without your permission)
4 vehicles were stolen.
LOCATION: 100 S. Saltair Ave, 800 Grenta Green Way, and 1100 Granville Ave.
Prevention: Lock your vehicle, and set your alarm

Burglary/Theft from Motor Vehicles (definition: Someone enters your vehicle without permission)
33 vehicles were broken into last month. 1 pried lock, 4 had their soft tops cut, 8 were unlocked, and 20 had their windows smashed. Property taken from the vehicles were Cash, phone, clothes, computer, IPOD�s, sunglasses, TV, knife, GPS, wine, wallet, jewelry, ID, laptop, speakers, electronics, sporting goods, camera, tools, briefcase, documents, watch, and garage door openers.
LOCATIONS: 100 S. Westgate Ave, 400 Gretna Green Way, 500 S. Barrington Ave, 600 S. Barrington Ave, 800 S. Bundy Dr, 1000 S. Amherst Ave, 1000 Hanley Ave, 1000 S. Wellesley Ave, 1100 S. Barry Ave, 1100 N. Bundy Dr, 3300 Canyon Back Road, 11300 Montana Ave , 11600 Kiowa Ave, 11600 Darlington Ave, 11600 Goshen Ave, 11600 Chenault Ave, 11600 Mayfield Ave, 11700 Darlington Ave, 11700 Montana Ave, 11700 San Vicente Blvd, 11800 Goshen Ave, 11900 Darlington Ave, 11900 Montana Ave, 11900 Gorham Ave, 12000 Gorham Ave, 12600 Promontory Rd, 12900 Marlboro St. and 16600 Park Lane Pl..
Prevention: Do not leave anything inside your vehicle, always lock and set your vehicles alarm

Battery / Aggravated Assault (definition: Someone strikes you)
Verbal dispute lead to suspect striking victim and the other pushing the victim.
LOCATIONS: 100 S. Barrington Ave, and 12600 W. Sunset Blvd
Prevention: Avoid verbal confrontations, they lead to physical confrontations

Theft (definition: Someone takes your property without your permission)
9 Crimes occurred where Bicycle, tools, purse, camera�s, checks, electronic equipment and motor bike were taken
LOCATIONS: 900 S. Granville Ave, 1400 San Remo Dr., 3900 Mandeville Canyon Dr, 11600 Chenault Ave, 11700 Goshen Ave, 11900 San Vicente Blvd, 12000 Wilshire Blvd, and 12800 Hanover St .
Prevention: Secure all unattended property.
