Afraid of heights? Don’t plan a visit to the downtown Los Angeles Skyslide.
The owners of the U.S. Bank building unveiled plans today to build a glass-bottom and glass-sided slide jutting out from the side of the building — 70 stories high.
According to Overseas Union Enterprise Limited, those brave enough to give the attraction a try will emerge from the 70th floor of the building and slide 45 feet, with nothing but 1.25-inch-thick clear glass between them and the street below, ending on the 69th floor observation level.
Both the Skyslide and the Skyspace two-story outdoor observation deck are scheduled to open in June.
Riding the slide will cost $8, with tickets sold at timed intervals. The ticket will be in addition to the $25 ticket for the Skyspace deck.
