Disneyland is moving to a seasonal ticket pricing system for its two Anaheim theme parks beginning today, resulting in increased admission prices on most days and a small decrease on other days, Disney announced Saturday.

Beginning Sunday, the price of an adult general admission ticket for Disneyland or California Adventure will change from its current $99 to one of three new rates: $95, $105 or $119.

The cheapest rate of $95 applies to off-peak days, such as weekdays when school is in session.

The $105 rate applies to regular days, which will amount to almost half the year.

The $119 rate applies to peak periods, such as holidays and certain weekends in the summer.

The so-called “park-hopper” ticket, which allows a guest admission to both Anaheim parks, will now cost between $155 and $169 (the old cost was $155).     “The demand for our theme parks continues to grow, particularly during peak periods,” said Disneyland spokeswoman Suzi Brown, according to the OC Register. “In addition to expanding our parks, we are adopting seasonal pricing on our one-day ticket to help better spread visitation throughout the year.”

Disney’s theme parks in Orlando, Florida are also adopting a seasonal pricing system beginning today.

Universal Studios Hollywood adopted a similar seasonal ticket price system earlier this year.
