Vice President Joe Biden will visit Los Angeles Friday to tout President Barack Obama’s proposal to make two years of community college free.
According to the White House, Biden will speak at West Los Angeles College “to discuss the importance of helping Americans go to college and get the skills they need to succeed.”
Obama unveiled his “America’s College Promise” proposal earlier this month, and he is expected to promote the idea — which has already been blasted by Republicans — during his State of the Union address tonight.
Specific details of Biden’s visit were not immediately released. Biden, however, will be in Irvine on Saturday to deliver the keynote speech at the Patient Safety, Science and Technology Summit at the Hotel Irvine, 17900 Jamboree Road.
