UPDATE SBRA (formerly SBHA) NEWS

Hello everyone,

Thanks to all of you who responded to my last email with your email updates, questions and interest in committees. Again, if you wish to receive more frequent updates on all Brentwood news including Crime Reports, please contact Jackie Raymond at JKANRAYM@aol.com

A reminder: our meeting with LA City Planners to discuss the West Los Angeles Community Plan Update will be May 21st at 7:00 PM at the Tenth Church of Christ, Scientist. Parking is on site and accessible from Bundy or Goshen.
South Wilshire Blvd. is included in the West LA Community Plan, but North Wilshire is a part of the Brentwood/Pacific Palisades Community Plan. Since both sides of Wilshire will be treated similarly, the Planners have offered to give a Power Point presentation followed by a question and answer session. We will also hear a future mass transit status update from Metro.
We will be collecting questions before the meeting and then ask for written questions at the event. Please send your questions to me, or bring them to the meeting.

SBHA name change to SBRA
South Brentwood Homeowners Assn. (SBHA) name change to South Brentwood Residents Assn (SBRA) has been approved by our board of directors. We changed our name to reflect the fact that we represent both single and multifamily homeowners and renters. We will ask our general membership to approve our name change at our May 21st meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please respond to this email with your yes or no vote whether we should officially change our name from SBHA to SBRA.

We also welcome multifamily residents from any part of Brentwood. If you know someone who lives in South Brentwood or in an apartment or condo anywhere in Brentwood, please forward this email to them. If you live in a condo or apartment, please forward this email to your neighbors.

Trees offered for South Brentwood
There is a possibility that South Brentwood will have the opportunity to plant a few trees next month. Do you have a suggestion as to location? type of tree? Want to serve on a subcommittee which will select the location and type of tree? If so, please respond to this email.

Our webmaster, Ron Grant has a new book out: Go to www.1600pooch.com to learn more about it… it’s about the new First Family dog! I just ordered two for my grandchildren.

If you have not paid your dues for this year, please send a check for $35 per family or $20 if you are a senior 65 or over.
Write the check to:
South Brentwood Homeowners Assn (or SBHA)
Send to:
South Brentwood Residents Association
149 South Barrington Ave. #125
Los Angeles, CA 90049

Looking forward to seeing you at our May 21 meeting!

Marylin Krell
President, SBRA
