On May 25, the Palm Springs Art Museum, in association with California Riverside, will host two shows “dedicated to interpretations on the theme of ‘obsession.'”
The Coachella Valley Storytellers Project inspires creative writing students and spoken word artists alike to get on stage and perform their narratives out loud. Per their website:
“By creating a space where neighbors and notables can share first-person stories,” this project explores the importance of the personal narrative as a means for connection. As Americans identify in increasingly complex ways religiously, racially and culturally, there’s a growing appetite for sharing, and hearing individual stories with universal themes and lessons.”
