The Beverly Hills Bridge Club will present the popular Learn Bridge in a Day workshop on Saturday, September 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This special class covers the fundamentals of bridge in a fun and engaging way, according to organizers.
“Participants will learn basic bidding, scoring, and play of the cards. The class is open to the public, and everyone is welcome. No experience is necessary,” they said.
The cost of the class is $30 and includes lunch and snacks, plus a 58-page book that covers everything discussed during the class.
Learn Bridge in a Day is designed for beginners, those returning to bridge after long absences, social bridge players, and individuals wanting to “test the waters” before committing to formal classes. This one-day introductory session will be followed up by a series of beginner classes and games for everyone who wishes to continue playing the game.
The day includes both class instruction and practice play, presented in an entertaining and relaxed atmosphere.
“It’s raised my confidence level quite a bit,” a previous student said.“I learned a lot, it’s fun, I met many new people, and I’m planning to come back and take more lessons.”
“At our last one-day class, the students didn’t want to leave at the end of the day,” said an instructor. “They wanted to stay and play more bridge.”
