A man was stabbed this morning by his girlfriend in the Florence area of South Los Angeles, authorities said.
The stabbing was reported at 2:09 a.m. in the 8200 block of South Main Street, said Sgt. S. Blackman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Street Station.
Officers found a man with a stab wound in his upper left thigh who was “drinking and uncooperative,” Blackman said. Paramedics treated the man at the scene but he refused to be taken to a hospital.
Officers left the scene but were immediately called back when a witness told them where to find the girlfriend, he said. She was taken into custody but the knife was not found.
