Listen to the speakers for the Committee for Racial Justice talk about the most recent lecture from Dr. Pedro Noguera’s about inequality.
Come, hear, and discuss what is being proposed in our school district to improve efforts to maximize the potentials of our local students and address the persistent inequities around race that some other school districts have been able to manage with more success.
Speakers include:
Oscar de la Torre, Ralph Mechur, SMMUSD Board members;
Dr. Karen Gunn, a teacher, trainer, and administrator with over 20 years in the public, private, and volunteer sectors of our community, who is currently chairing the Santa Monica Human Relations Council; and Dr. Robert Gordh, an active member of CRJ and a lifelong educator who has taught both at the college and high school level.
