A westsidetoday.wpengine.com online poll reveals Westsiders prefer Malibu as their number one pick when going to the beach in summer.
Malibu topped the vote with 21 percent to the question: “What is your favorite place to go to the beach in summer?” Malibu was followed by Santa Monica (15 percent) and Laguna Beach (13 percent).
The remaining most popular beach destinations were Newport Beach (11 percent), Venice Beach (9 percent), Hungtington Beach (9 percent), Hermosa Beach (9 percent), Manhattan Beach (9 percent), Long Beach (3 percent), and Redondo Beach (2 percent).
