Actor Vince Vaughn will sink his hands and feet into cement in the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre today, two days before the release of his latest film “Unfinished Business.”
Vaughn, 44, is expected to be joined at the ceremony by Jon Favreau, with whom Vaughn starred in “Swingers,” and James Marsden, who appears in “Unfinished Business.”
A Minnesota native, the 6-foot-5 Vaughn made his film debut with a small part in “Rudy.” But his small role paid big dividends when he met Favreau on the set. Their friendship led Favreau to include him in his film “Swingers,” a small-budget movie that struck a chord with moviegoers and became a cult hit.
That success led Vaughn to a role in the big-budget “The Lost World: Jurassic Park” in 1997. He followed that role with films including “A Cool, Dry Place,” “Psycho,” “The Cell” and perhaps his true star-making role, “Old School.”
He went on to appear in a series of comedies, often alongside pals Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson or Ben Stiller, including “Starsky & Hutch,” “Wedding Crashers,” “Fred Claus,” “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story” and “The Break-Up.” He also made a memorable cameo appearance in “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” and its sequel.
Following “Unfinished Business,” Vaughn will next be seen in the crime drama “Term Life,” the cast of which also includes Favreau.
