The Los Angeles Dodgers will pay tribute to the 30th anniversary of the 1984 Summer Olympics before tonight’s game against the San Diego Padres at Dodger Stadium.
Gold medal winners Paul Gonzales (boxing), Sherri Howard (track and field), Greg Louganis (diving) and Cheryl Miller (basketball) are set to participate in the tribute, along with silver-medal winning hurdler Danny Harris.
Jamie Chung, a cast member of “Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For,” will throw the ceremonial first pitch, one day before its premiere.
The national anthem will be performed by the Grammy-winning bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers.
Al “The Bull” Ferrara, an outfielder with the Dodgers in 1963 and 1965-68, will sign autographs in the right field pavilion plaza from 5-7 p.m., the same time as Al Downing, who allowed Hank Aaron’s record-setting 715th home run in 1974, will be signing autographs in the left field pavilion plaza.
Dodger Stadium’s auto gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and its stadium gates at 5 p.m. for the 7:10 p.m. game.
