A wrong way driver collided with another vehicle injuring five people while moving northbound on the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Westchester this morning, authorities said.
The collision was reported June 8 at 2:41 a.m. on the southbound San Diego Freeway at Howard Hughes Parkway, said Los Angeles Fire Dept. (LAFD) spokesman Brian Humphrey.
The preliminary report was that five people were injured and transported to hospitals, Humphrey said.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert shutting down all lanes of the freeway at Howard Hughes Parkway.
