Bill Rosendahl was honored at a roast held at the Los Angeles Press Club in mid-May. Friends came out in large numbers to tease him, praise him, and encourage him.
Former Los Angeles Mayor (and Brentwood resident) Richard Riordan started the bidding and several from the worlds of journalism politics and religion piled on.
Bill is something of a hero to the LA Press Club, which sponsored the event. Back in the late ‘90s, the club was suffering low membership and becoming something of a dinosaur.
Bill was In charge of Century Cablevision at the time (which is now Time Warner), and he used his perch to drum up support for local journalism.
For many years, Bill hosted a show, “Week in Review,†which dealt with local issues.
