Peter J. Brown is nothing if not passionate. With thirty years of footage, documenting the conservation efforts of the infamous Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, Brown’s latest documentary, CONFESSIONS OF AN ECO-TERRORIST, delivers a unique look at the adventures of the conservationists efforts on the high seas. Faced with the perils of the elements, as well as the dangers of confrontation with vessels participating in illegal practices, these volunteers put their lives on the line for that in which they believe.
While the world may recognize Brown from his stint on Animal Planet’s hit show, “Whale Wars”, as Captain Paul Watson’s right-hand man and second in command, he was never without his camera. CONFESSIONS OF AN ECO-TERRORIST documents the campaigns and efforts of this heroic band of conservationists in the years leading up to the television series that would make them household names. Sometimes funny, somewhat harrowing, but always thrilling, CONFESSIONS gives the audience a hefty dose of reality that will hopefully be a call to action.
In a recent television interview on CBS News, Brown made a strong appeal for viewers to take action. While the revolution to raise awareness has been won, there is still much to do to win the war to save our oceans.
CONFESSIONS OF AN ECO-TERRORIST makes its premiere this week at the Santa Barbara Film Festival, where it has been nominated for the “Social Justice Award”. For show times and to see the trailer, please visit www.confessionsfilm.com.
