Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Prayer Breakfast. Calvary Baptist Church, 1502 20th St., Santa Monica. The suggested donation is $25 per person or $200 for a table of 10.

Saturday, Jan. 15 from 9 a.m. to Noon:

“MLK Kidz Party†An introduction to the life and teachings of MLK with live music by Michael Cladis, face painting, storytelling, a diversity art project, theatre & improv games, and more! Virginia Avenue Park – Kidz Zone, 2200 Virginia Ave., Santa Monica. Free

Saturday, Jan. 15 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.:

Westside Teens “Peace In†With DJs, Live Bands, poetry/spoken word, an interactive diversity workshop and more!. The Talking Stick, 1411 Lincoln Blvd., Venice. Free. Co-sponsored by the NAACP Santa Monica-Venice Branch, the Santa Monica Bay Area Human Relations Council and the Pico Youth and Family Center.

Sunday, Jan. 16 at 3:30 p.m.:

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 5th Annual Commemorative Concert, presented by The Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra and featuring violinist Danielle Belén.

Monday, Jan. 17 at 9 a.m.:

25th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration, a multiethnic interfaith program that includes inspirational readings, speakers, musical performances scholarship presentations and more! SGI-USA Auditorium, 525 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica. Free admission. This celebration is followed by a Community Involvement Fair, from 10:30 a.m. to Noon, across the street at 606 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica. Free parking is available on 7th Street, behind the 7-11 Store on Wilshire Boulevard. Free admission.

These activities and events are presented by The Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Westside Coalition, in cooperation with the City of Santa Monica, the Westside Interfaith Coalition, Santa Monica College, the Santa Monica College Associates, the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District, the Santa Monica Symphony Orchestra RAND Corp., SGI-USA, and a variety of other individuals, organizations, and corporate contributors.
