The LA Marathon is coming up on Sunday, March 21,2010 and will be
scheduled to come through Brentwood on the way to the finish line which
is in Santa Monica. The organizer has lots of information at
lamarathon.com and has suggested each neighborhood form cheer
sections, picnicing, etc.
72 hours ahead of time,no parking signs will be posted . That will
alert the populus for sure on San Vicente which is good. However, we
should try to get all of our resources available through organized
groups, to send out word of the event and detours.
I will bring this to the BCC on March 2 and ask all groups to send
information to their constituents. To keep continuity, I think it best
for the website to be sent out for people to get information .
From what I have read, the street will be closed on March 21st from 5
AM to 2 PM. This obviously affects the Farmer’s Market hours.
