Spotlight on Jacqueline Caster of Pacific Palisades

Jacqueline Caster, photo by Rich Schmitt
I’m inspired by successful women who are willing to admit their flaws because then I know there is hope for me.

I always laugh when my two Miniature Schnauzers spontaneously start a wrestling match.
I’m great at remembering people’s faces and voices.

The love of my life is my husband, Andy, and our children, Bryce and Jocelyn.

My mom taught me always look good when you walk out the door; you never know who you will bump into.

I can’t live without my bathtub.

When I look in the mirror I see my grandmother, my mother and my daughter.

My biggest ambition is to raise my kids to be intellectually curious, self-sufficient and kind.

My favorite vacation was a bike trip in the Loire Valley which allowed for eating French pastry with impunity.

The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that when you really believe you have a good idea, avoid the pessimists.

Before I die, I want to go blonde just for one day.

People don’t know that I have had two thoroughbred horses named after me: “Jacqueline Rose” and the other with the unfortunate name of “Swinging Jacqueline”.

My favorite Westside haunt is Chez Mimi.

I wish I’d never worn padded shoulders and spiked, gelled hair in the ‘80s.

Jacqueline Caster is the founder and head of The Everychild Foundation whose goal is to improve the lives of every child in Los Angeles. Everychild does this by eschewing traditional fundraisers and instead pooling the intellectual and monetary resources of 225 LA women and put them toward one $1million dollar project per year.
