No June Gloom Here!

Greetings.  Westside Today, which used to be known as Brentwood Media Group, is going through some nice changes.

We felt it was time to get back to our roots and start doing a better job of community coverage, starting with this, our June issue. With this issue we add several pages of Santa Monica, Palisades and Malibu coverage to our Santa Monica Sun, Palisades 90272 and Malibu Beach magazines.

We all live on the Westside, but we all also live in individual towns across the Westside.  Each has its own distinct personality.

We’ll never beat the local weekly newspapers for timely headline news, so we won’t even try.

What we think we CAN do well is to run calendar items, photos of you and your family, and friends, and offer up some pages you can write on.  Our format is something of a “keeper,” so whatever we run could hang around for a while.

Got a column you want to write?  Send it in.

Got a great photo of your new baby?  We want it.

Celebrating an anniversary or some other milestone?  We want that too.

We might not be as timely as a weekly newspaper, but we think that through photos and an open invitation to our readers to become our content providers, we can put together something that works.

These local pages will come as part of a package that includes news and information from other Westside towns, so even though you have tribal loyalties to your neighborhood, you can, at a glance, at least get a feel for what’s going on around the rest of the Westside.

And that’s something you CAN’T get anywhere else.

So, if you want to be one of our co-producers, send us an e-mail to editor@westsidetoday.com.

Tell us what you’d like to contribute and we’ll do our best to get it in.

Keep in touch!
