The Tres Amis Trio is made up of Steven Vanhauwaert – Pianist www.stevenpiano.com, Gary Gray – Clarinet www.clarinetbygray.com and Cecilia Tsan – Cellist www.ceciliatsan.com.
Vanhauwaert has been hailed by the Los Angeles Times for his “impressive clarity, sense of structure, and monster technique.†In October 2004, he won the Grand Prize at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, which enabled him to tour through the U.S. and Hungry. He has appeared as soloist in major venues with the Pacific Symphony, the Flemish Symphony, and many other orchestras both nationally and internationally. Steven also plays with local well known ensembles.
Gray has recorded over 1,000 film scores during his Hollywood career, is a long time member of the Pacific Serenades Chamber ensemble, and was Principal Clarinetist of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra for 20 seasons.
Tsan is the principal cellist of the Long Beach Symphony, has also recorded hundreds of movie soundtracks, and has served as Principal Cello for the Academy Awards, the Emmys, American Idol, and America’s Got Talent.
