A U.S.-based real estate investment and development firm, recently announced Simran Bindra as director of corporate affairs and general counsel.
Bindra, who has over 15 years experience in the industry and holds a B.A. in politics with a minor in economics from Occidental College and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, will oversee all legal aspects and company-wide operations of both Laurus Corp. and its affiliate real estate private equity firm Ethika Investments.
“With a robust background in real estate law and an impressive tenure consulting with Fortune 500 companies, Simran will be an instrumental member of our team as we undertake new ventures, expand to different markets and continue the success we’ve realized over the past several years,” Andres Szita, Chairman of Laurus Corporation said in an official release.
Prior to joining Laurus, Bindra served as senior director and associate general counsel for Capital One National Association. He was also senior counsel for a publicly traded real estate investment trust and worked at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. He has also served as a board member for the South Asian Bar Association’s Public Interest Foundation.
