Add these events to your calendar for the new year and prepare to make 2025 memorable.
Unmissable LA Events in 2025
January
Enjoy a little music at some of the most incredible live venues in the city this month. Check out The Weeknd’s Hurry Up Tomorrow tour at the Rose Bowl on the 25th of January, or treat yourself to a performance by The Temptations and the Four Tops at the Dolby Theatre on the 19th.
Prefer a sports moment? Start the year strong at the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day with the 111th Rose Bowl Game. If you’re a runner more than a watcher, enter the RPs Bowl Half Marathon on the 19th.
February
February is for the theatre fans. Take yourself and your friends off to a performance of “Wicked” at the Pantages Theater to meet Glinda and Elphaba on the stage instead of the screen. If you consider yourself a Potterhead, you’ll want to book tickets at the same theatre for the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,” which will take over from “Wicked” once the production run ends.
Experience the magic of SoFi Stadium at the “Honda Battle of the Bands” event that promises to showcase some of the most incredible HBCU marching bands. If you’re not in LA, treat yourself to a flight with an air charter company and come into the city for the week! You won’t regret it.
March
Indulge in some truly incredible musical talent with a visit to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts, where you can see Benise in “Benise: 25 Years of Passion.” This Spanish guitar performance will knock your socks off, and if it doesn’t, try the Herbie Hancock show at the Walt Disney Concert Hall for something equally magnificent but slightly more subdued.
April
Get dressed up for a nice dinner and a top-notch show: “Hamilton” at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Alternatively, you could visit Narnia at the California Theater of the Performing Arts with “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.”
The Festival of Books at UCLA is a wonderful way for readers of all descriptions to get a little closer to the literature and the authors they love.
May
The LA Angels play the Detroit Tigers at the Angel Stadium, so lace up your kicks and prepare for a spellbinding game. But, if that’s not up your alley, rather grab a ticket to the “Esa-Pekka Salonen Concert,” where you’ll be treated to Beethoven and Dessner at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Opera aficionados will adore Verdi’s masterpiece “Rigoletto” performed at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
June
“Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark” (OMD) is waiting to wow fans at the Greek Theater in June, and the show is packed with an incredible combination of their beloved music and amazing production value. If you’re in town with the family, take them all to see “Frozen” live on stage at the La Mirada Theatre.
July
The 4th of July always offers up many enticing events in LA, and this year is no exception. Join Earth, Wind & Fire at the Hollywood Bowl for a fireworks spectacular the likes of which you’ve never seen before. “Some Like It Hot” is on the stage at the Pantages Theater, and the Tony Award-winning “Parade” is on to delight and amaze.
Sports fans can enjoy the Dodgers versus the White Sox at the classic Dodgers Stadium or the Angels versus the Texas Rangers at the Angels Stadium.
August
Is someone in your family a huge Neil Diamond fan? Surprise them with tickets to a performance of “A Beautiful Noise,” which celebrates his incredible legacy on stage at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. And if it is art you’re interested in, take a trip down to both LACMA and the Getty Center for the special exhibitions that will be displayed all month.
Foodies and wine connoisseurs will be excited about this next one: the Los Angeles Food and Wine Festival, which takes place every year, is happening in August! Indulge in some of the best cuisine and curations of flavor as you enter springtime.
September
Immerse yourself in the nostalgia of 90s rock royalty this month. Go see the Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard Confessional at the Greek, and you’ll make musical memories that could last a lifetime.
Stage productions abound in September, with “Shucker” running at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood, as well as “& JULIET,” which is running at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa.
October
Need a laugh? Grab tickets for Jimmy Carr live at the Wiltern, but beware, he doesn’t respond well to hecklers! Matt Rife will be at the Honda Center in October, too.
There are concerts aplenty too. Why not check out Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism Tour at Inglewood’s Kia Forum? Megan Moroney is also performing in Los Feliz at the Greek, so you look forward to more than just Halloween this coming October.
November
As you gear up for the festive season again, LA will be draped in fairy lights and have Christmas trees on every corner. While seasonal events have yet to be announced, you can expect markets, concerts, live productions, and great deals everywhere. There’s plenty to come!
For now, you can book tickets to watch Sarah Macmillan play at the Wiltern. The NHRA Finals will be taking place at the Pomona Raceway if you’re looking for something exciting as a racing enthusiast.
December
You’ll undoubtedly be in full celebration mode in December, so get excited to attend some glamorous and exciting events that fit right into the party mood.
Sofitel Beverly Hills will be hosting the Cabaret Sensorial and the Salsa Sundays event on Sunday the 8th. Treat yourself to New Year’s Eve at the Beverly Hills Palazzo to wrap up a wonderful, busy 2025.
