On Dec. 7, Westwood’s 44-unit boutique hotel, Plaza La Reina, held its official grand opening event.
Situated in the heart of Westwood Village at 10850 Lindbrook Drive, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and 5th District Councilman Paul Koretz were on hand for the ribbon cutting, along with hotel owner Kambiz Hekmat.
Garcetti issued Hekmat with an official City of Los Angeles proclamation, welcoming the latest hotel addition. The mayor also spoke about the importance of the hotel in helping to revitalize Westwood.
Koretz offered a toast on the hotel’s rooftop terrace, where guests nibbled on hors d’oevres, drank Sangria and red wine, and were treated to live classical music played by Spanish guitarist Jose Cortez.
The evening was also an opportunity for attendees to check out the six-story pet-friendly hotel, with tour guides showing them the hotel’s rooms, suites and amenities.
