RADD®, the Entertainment Industry’s Voice For Road Safety, has partnered with the Tri-City Alliance as title sponsor for LA Crawl, kicking off June 5 from 12 noon – 7 p.m., to coincide with the official opening of the Expo Light Rail. LA Crawl, is a one day Pub Crawl, designed to socially connect with the Tri-City region (Santa Monica, Culver City and Downtown), utilizing the historic, newly expanded Expo Line, which is back up for the first time in 63 years. RADD®, supports responsible drinking and road safety by encouraging the use of alternate transportation, a designated driver or ride share, in order to reduce DUI crashes and fatalities, has a long-standing history of alliances with Downtown LA partner venues.
RADD® President Erin Meluso comments: “RADD is committed to keeping our roads safe and we welcome our partnership with the Tri-City Alliance to promote responsible drinking and driving by supporting the use of the new Expo Light Rail. Our message has always been to have fun, but be safe.”
RADD’s risk prevention campaign is backed by a grant from the California Office Of Traffic Safety (OTS). Its successful College DUIAwareness campaign has generated more than eight million impressions; 15,000 new fans and 421 new retail partners, while serving more than 40 college campuses statewide and reaching a combined total of almost 1,000,000 students.
Tri-City Alliance Community Relations organizer Harwood R. Hamilton welcomes RADD’s socially conscious commitment to keep our roads safer, particularly as the Downtown region continues its expansive trajectory, with the number of residents and visitors multiplying daily.
Hamilton notes: “The Expo Line will become an economic engine to connect the Tri-Cities in a way like never before.”

The Tri-City Alliance (TCA) is a Los Angeles based advocacy group. Their focus is to help increase economic development for the region alongside the monumental Expo Line extension. The TCA embraces the Expo Line as an economic engine and will stage engaging events to encourage the community to explore other parts of LA via the expanded line.
