Anime Expo® — North America’s largest anime and manga event — invites fans of Japanese animation, manga (comic books) and pop culture to meet the creative forces behind them and enter this world through everything from costume play and karaoke and video competitions to exclusive screenings, artist panels, autograph sessions and much more. Anime Expo (AX) returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center with its largest exhibition and program ever and for the first time rocks the Nokia Theater, Nokia Plaza and J.W. Marriott Ballroom with concerts, dancing and events including the AX Idol Contest, Battle of the Bands and the wildly popular Masquerade, in which fans transform themselves into their favorite anime and manga characters through creative costuming, accessories and make-up and put on their own show before an audience of thousands. Advance ticket prices range from $35 for a one-day adult pass to $75 for a four-day adult pass. Tickets at the door range from $45 for a one-day adult pass to $85 for a four-day adult pass.
