Authorities today identified a motorcyclist who was killed in a head-on collision with a car on Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Malibu.
The crash about three miles north of Pacific Coast Highway was reported around 11:45 p.m. Thursday, California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi said.
Scott Falke, 34, of Los Angeles died at the scene, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
According to the preliminary investigation, Falke was southbound on Topanga Canyon Boulevard when he crossed over to the wrong side of the roadway while negotiating a turn, and the motorcycle crashed into a northbound Mercedes-Benz, the CHP reported.
The road was closed in both directions until around 3:40 a.m., the CHP reported.
