Santa Monica Symphony’s new conductor and musical director, Guido Lamell will perform the Egmont Overture by Beethoven, Variations on a Theme by Haydn by Brahms, and Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov at Barnum Hall (Santa Monica High School 600 Olympic Blvd. in Santa Monica) on Sunday, November 11, 2012 7:30pm The program will also include a 6:30pm pre-concert lecture by Russell Steinberg, Ph.D.
The new conductor and musical director, Guido Lamell is a well-regarded violinist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and has conducted for many years in the community and internationally. He is a Santa Monica resident where he has been active in the local community and school music programs for years.
