Gerhard was awarded a GRAMMY® for his work on Henry Mancini; Pink Guitar; Gerhard arranged and performed “Moon River.†His CD “Luna” is featured in Acoustic Guitar Magazine’s 20th Anniversary list of the “240 Essential Albums.” and he has been included the Boston Globe Critics’ Pick for “Top Ten Albums of the Year.†His music is featured in the Ken Burns documentary “Mark Twain†and “The National Parks: America’s Best Idea.”
Gerhard will share an evening of exquisite guitar music- performing material from his soon to be released CD as well as concert favorites. Performing on 6-string, slide guitar and Hawaiian lap steel, Gerhard combines rare compositional depth with inspired virtuosity.
Performances will take place on July 23, 2011 at 8pm with a Master Class offered on July 24, 2011 1pm-4pm at Trilogy Guitars 143 Culver Blvd in Playa del Rey.
