Yoga: It’s More than You Think
At the Simms/Mann Health and Wellness Center of Venice Family Clinic, 2509 Pico Blvd, Santa Monica
Taught by Veronica Zador E-RYT-500
In this workshop, participants will learn to move through resistance with the least amount of conflict. Through a process of self-inquiry, participants will be guided in their practice of yoga postures with a focus on safety. Easily implementable alternatives will be offered when appropriate. In addition, participants will experience the usefulness of yogic breathing and the quality of stillness. The group will discuss how ancient yogic texts inform what and why things are done so that each participant can integrate principles that are useful in their yoga practices and daily lives.
The combined components of the workshop will help enable participants to deepen the meaning of their current practice, to identify yoga practices and teachers that best suit their needs, and to heighten their own sense of balance between physicality, breath and overall well-being.
This program is for yoga students of all levels.
This is a two-part program; concepts from the first session will be explored in greater depth in the second one. CEUs are available for RNs.
