Microsoft YouthSpark is a global initiative to provide greater access to young people to learn computer science. Launched three years ago, Microsoft YouthSpark, came together with governments, non-profits and businesses to creates educational, employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for more than 300 million youth worldwide.
As part of that initiative, Microsoft stores hold regular classes for young people to learn computer science, and this fall, the Microsoft Store at Westfield Century City will host three new classes for local youth.
The classes include:
- Productivity Tools for School: Hands-on, interactive learning through the planning and development of a fundraising campaign for a school project.
- Code and Create with CollageMe: Two-hour coding camp where students will use their creativity to develop a unique personal collage.
- Shoot, Edit and Share with PicsArt: Transform photos with interactive editing, drawing and collage apps.
The store will also offer parent camps, so parents can also learn about the latest technology and tools available at Microsoft Stores.
