The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the fifth time in six days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.724.
The average price has increased 1.7 cents over the past six days, including two-tenths of a cent on Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. None of the daily increases has been larger than a half-cent.
The average price is 1.6 cents higher than one week ago but 4 cents less than one month ago and 82.8 cents lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price rose today for the 15th time in 16 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $2.706. It has risen 10.2 cents over the past 16 days, including two-tenths of a cent on Wednesday.
The Orange County average price is 1.8 cents higher than one week ago, but 3.7 cents less than one month ago and 77.8 cents lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price rose for 12 consecutive days, was unchanged Monday and resumed increasing on Tuesday.
