The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the ninth consecutive day, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $2.708.
The average price has risen 7.4 cents over the past nine days, including eight-tenths of a cent on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The increases follow a 42-day streak of decreases that dropped the average price to its lowest amount since March 10.
The average price is 5.7 cents higher than one week ago but 13.6 cents less than one month ago and 96.7 cents lower than one year ago
The Orange County average price rose today for the 10th time in 11 days, increasing two-tenths of a cent to $2.688. It has risen 8.8 cents over the past 11 days, including a half-cent on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Orange County average price is 5.6 cents higher than one week ago, but 13.8 cents less than one month ago and 93.1 cents lower than one year ago.
The increases in Orange County follow a 39-day streak of decreases that dropped the average price to its lowest amount since March 10.
