Rapper Azealia Banks will not face charges in connection with allegations that she assaulted a bouncer at a Koreatown nightclub, the City Attorney’s Office announced today.
In October, the 24-year-old rapper was kicked out of Break Room 86, the club inside the Line Hotel, when she allegedly became disruptive.
Security video footage showed her pulling the fire alarm and then taking part in an attack on a bouncer before she left, E! News reported on its website.
The City Attorney’s Office “declined to file charges in the Banks matter due to insufficient evidence likely to result in a conviction,” according to spokesman Frank Mateljan.
Banks — who was arrested in December for allegedly biting a female bouncer in a New York club — made other news today by declaring her support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
Shortly after wishing her followers “Happy Black History Month !!!!!!!” Banks tweeted, “Ok so, I think I’m ready to admit that I’m going to vote for Donald Trump.”
Saying she believed Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders didn’t have the clout or will to “bust up big business,” Banks issued a long string of tweets that summed up, “I think Donald Trump is evil like America is evil and in order for America to keep up with itself it needs him.”
