The Los Angeles Kings will conduct Hockey Fights Cancer Night at tonight’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes at Staples Center, part of a monthlong league-wide initiative to raise awareness and funds for organizations involved in cancer care and research.

Lavender pucks signed by Kings players will be on sale for $25 at the Kings Care Foundation booth at Section 103 in the Main Concourse. Lavender is the color representing awareness for all types of cancer.

Various Kings Fight Cancer merchandise benefiting Hockey Fights Cancer- associated charities will be on sale at the Team LA store and kiosk locations in Staples Center.

An online auction of autographed Kings Fight Cancer jerseys worn during tonight’s pregame warmup will be conducted at kings.myab.co, going to the LA Kings app or by texting KINGS to 52182.

Stand Up to Cancer placards will be placed on each seat at Staples Center allowing fans to share who they are fighting for. A Stand Up 2 Cancer moment will be held during the final television timeout of the second period.

Fans are asked to use the hashtag kingsfcancer on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram when sharing images of their loved ones impacted by cancer.

Registration for the Bone Marrow Registry will be conducted outside Section 116/117. All those registering will be entered in a drawing for a Kings prize pack.

The Hockey Fights Cancer initiative was founded in December 1998 by the NHL and National Hockey League Players Association.

More than $12.8 million has been raised to support national and local cancer research institutions, children’s hospitals, player charities and local cancer organizations in the United States and Canada.
