The estranged husband of “That ’70s Show” actress Lisa Robin Kelly, who died of a drug overdose at a California rehab facility in 2013, settled his wrongful death suit with the facility, the plaintiff’s attorney said today.
In his lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in June 2014 against Pax House, Robert Gilliam alleged that staff members at the Altadena center were improperly trained to care for patients such as Kelly.
Gilliam’s attorney confirmed the case was settled, but did not divulge the terms.
The lawsuit alleged that Kelly “was neglected for an unreasonable amount of time” by Pax House employees, resulting in her death.
Kelly, who played Laurie Forman on the Fox sitcom, died in August 2013 at the age of 43 of multiple drug intoxication, according to the coroner’s office.
