The gorgeous newly renovated InterContinental Hotel in Century City hosted their Annual Client Appreciation Party with a Summer White Festival that brought out an assortment of attractive guests, dressed “Gatsby Style”.

Among these were Mary Spellerberg of L.A. Tourism, Inna Savlukk, owner of Butterfly Florals, and Dena Reininger and Judy Hommen of Air New Zealand.

The event took place in the spectacular Glass Lounge and the hotel’s lush gardens, and featured festive food, fine champagne and wines, and Angels Envy a celebrated whiskey distillery that the hotel collaborated with to create a special blend for hotel guests and special visitors. Among the assortment of food stations was our favorite, Red Miso, Hanger Steak, and Nitro Pod Ice cream.

We were entertained by a live band, The Replicas, and even treated to an aerial performance by Lena Fumi!

The Hotel’s General Manager, Steve Choe, who was recently named Individual Citizen of the Year by the Century City Chamber of Commerce, thanked his team, the clients and the community for their loyalty of the hotel, whose renovations will be completed by 2016. We were so impressed that we booked a soiree of our own for the Crown Jewels in December!

Meanwhile, Scads of Real Animals & Safari Clad Party Animals attended the 45th Annual Beasty Ball at the L.A. Zoo. Among the honorees were L.A. Councilman Tom LaBonge, and performer and philanthropist Lance Bass (NSYNC).  The event raised $1,044,000 million to support the myriad of programs at our famed zoo, and provides for the preservation of endangered species and animal welfare.

Others in the crowd of 800 supporters included Glaza Co-Chairmen, Betty White and Richard Lichtenstein; actresses Pauley Perrette and Sarah Michelle Geller, Lance Bass’ husband Michael Turchin, and comedian Jimmy Pardo, who acted as auctioneer for hundreds of one-of-a-kind opportunities. One of these was the chance to be a LA Zoo Koala Keeper for a day. Sorry we missed out on that one!
