“American Crime,” an 11-episode drama about the wide-ranging effects of an attack on a young couple in Modesto, will premiere
March 5, ABC announced Wednesday.
“American Crime” is written, directed and produced by the Oscar-winning screenwriter John Ridley. Its cast includes Emmy-winner Felicity Huffman and Oscar-winner Timothy Hutton.
“American Crime” will air Thursdays at 10 p.m., replacing “How to Get Away with Murder,” which will conclude its first season with a two-hour episode Feb. 26.
ABC also announced that “Secrets and Lies,” a 10-episode drama starring Ryan Phillippe as a murder suspect trying to clear his name, will premiere March 1 with a two-hour episode and regularly air 9-10 p.m. Sundays.
“Secrets and Lies” was developed by Barbie Kligman, whose producing credits include “Private Practice,” “The Vampire Diaries” and “CSI: New York.” It is based on the Australian series “Secrets & Lies.”
