A man aboard a Metro Rapid Bus entering Beverly Hills was stabbed Wednesday and a suspected assailant was arrested.
The stabbing occurred shortly after 6 p.m. as the eastbound Wilshire Boulevard bus was at Whittier Drive, said Paul Gonzales of Metro.
When the driver pulled over by The Beverly Hilton, several men got off and ran. The victim also got off and chased after his attackers, one of whom was arrested by Beverly Hills Police Department officers.
The victim was taken to UCLA Medical Center.
A woman passenger who fell was treated for a bump on the head by Beverly Hills Fire Department paramedics.
KCAL9 reported that the victim was stabbed three times in the back of the neck.
