The average price has dropped 23.9 cents during the streak, including 1.1 cents on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 5.6 cents less than one week ago, 23.8 cents lower than one month ago and 6.1 cents below what it was one year ago.

The 30-day streak of dropping prices is the longest since a 47-day streak from Sept. 18-Nov. 3, 2013.
The dropping prices are the result of increased supply stemming from refineries running at a higher capacity, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
