LA Fall Fashion Trends For The Everyday Woman

As the cooler temperatures arrive women everywhere are rearranging their wardrobes. While LA’s fall season is moderately warm, incorporating a few seasonal staples into the closet is a must for those windy days and colder nights. If you’re not sure what’s in style this year, you’re not alone, as most people spend the better part of the year indoors and out of touch. Luckily, we’ve put together a list of must-have fall fashions for the everyday woman.

Athleisure is Here to Stay

If you thought wearing leggings, yoga pants, biker shorts, and tanks would fade once the world reopened, think again. Athleisure and workout fashions are the perfect option for LA women. They’re ideal for any body size or shape, come in various colors, patterns, and textures, and work well for many activities. You can lounge around the house, go to the park, run errands, or grab lunch with loved ones and still look great. You can mix and match your pieces this fall for diversity and personality.

Knit Dress

The knit dress is trending, and it’s the perfect fashion staple if you live in LA. It’s form-fitting without being too tight and breathable enough that you won’t sweat if temperatures rise a bit above the norm. You can put on a knit dress with a pair of heeled booties, strappy sandals, or cork wedge shoes and look great in the office or after hours at a popular bar and grill.

Pastel-Colored Sweatsuits

While fall color palettes like red, orange, yellow, brown, and burgundy are beautiful, this year’s theme is all about pastels. The sunny California skies in LA reflect perfectly off these soft yet vibrant colors. Sweatsuits are great for cold nights and everyday activities. They also pair well with a pair of sneakers or running shoes. You can mix things up by wearing the pieces together or separately.

Sneakers

If there’s one type of shoe you need to have in your closet in LA, it’s a sneaker. Whether you’re doing chores around the house, going to the grocery store, or engaging in retail therapy, sneakers provide comfort and support to keep you on your feet for hours. These days sneakers have diversified in style so much that you can wear them with just about anything and still look amazing. A pair of fresh white tennis shoes are great for quick errands, while a mid-top athletic sneaker gives you that urban edge and street style sense.

Oversized White Button-Up

Often referred to as the “boyfriend shirt,” large white button-ups are a popular option for LA women. You can wear it as a standalone piece, keep it open, or button it up for a bit more sophistication. White goes with everything, and these oversized shirts are no different. You can wear them with shorts, leggings, leather pants, or a dress and look fashionable wherever you go. Keep in mind that white is also easy to stain. So, when purchasing your oversized button-up, you may want to buy more than one.

Loose-Leg Pants

Good-bye skinny jeans, hello loose-leg pants. When you’re looking for a relaxed, chic pant that works well with anything, you’ll want a pair of these free-flowing pants. You can pair them with bralettes, tank tops, crop tops, or button-ups, a pair of flat sandals, and some bold accessories and turn heads. Loose-leg pants are great to wear on the boardwalk, out to lunch, shopping, house parties, weddings, and so much more.

When learning what’s trending in the fashion world, LA is one of the first cities of reference on the list. This hip, culturally, and socially diverse city is considered one of fashion’s meccas, offering inspiration through runway shows, fashion magazines, blogs, and more. However, high-end styles aren’t the only category LA ranks high in. The city is filled with everyday modern women with tons of advice on how to look your best in this sunny SoCal destination. Hopefully, you got some style ideas to add to your wardrobe this year.
