Alan Stone & Company will present several companies to prospective investors May 31 at Skylight Gardens in Westwood.
One company, ITUS, which detects early stage cancer, is from Brentwood.
The event will be held Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 Skylight Gardens Restaurant, Bar & Gallery (1139 Glendon Avenue, Westwood Village). Parking is free with validation.

Registration is from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm; the luncheon and presentations will take place from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm; this will be followed by networking from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Two companies are pinned down; more are expected to follow.
The first presenter will be Jaguar Animal Health, Inc. (Nasdaq: JAGX), based in San Francisco. Jaguar is an animal health biotech company focused on developing and commercializing first-in-class gastrointestinal products for companion and production animals, foals, and high value horses.
Jaguar has nine active investigational new animal drug applications filed with the FDA and intends to develop species-specific formulations of Neonorm™ in six additional target species, formulations of Equilevia™ in horses, and Canalevia™ for cats and dogs.
The Company announced March 31, 2017 a definitive planned merger with San Francisco-based Napo Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a human health company developing and commercializing novel gastrointestinal prescription products from plants used traditionally in rainforest areas.

Brentwood-based ITUS Corporation (Nasdaq: ITUS), uses the power of the immune system to diagnose cancer. The company is developing a platform called Cchek™, a series of non-invasive blood tests for the early detection of solid tumor based cancers.
These tests are based on the body’s immunological response to the presence of a malignancy. On May 16, 2017 ITUS announced that it completed a secondary offering of common stock generating gross proceeds of $3.6 million. On April 4, 2017 it announced the closing of a rights offering for gross proceeds of $4.7 million.
