The Century City Chamber of Commerce is starting out the New Year with a new President and CEO.
Nancy Wood has been selected to fill the vacancy left by Susan Bursk who retired in December 2016. Wood officially took over the position on Jan. 17.
Prior to stepping into her new role, Wood was the Chief Operating Officer of ProVisors, focusing on business recruitment, retention and advocacy. In that position, she focused specifically on membership development, event execution and community building.
“We are lucky to have Nancy,” Scott Healy, Vice President, Relationship Manager at 1st Century Bank and Century City Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Board said in an official statement. “Her experience with membership-based organizations, as well as her connections to high level members of the surrounding business community will give her the ability to come in and hit the ground running. We look forward to having her leadership and passion as she guides Century City to become an even more extraordinary place to work and thrive.”
Wood issued a statement saying, “I’m thrilled and honored to be selected to lead the Chamber, and I can’t wait to get started. I look forward to getting to know members, and creating even more opportunities for members to get engaged
