Christopher Shoff has joined Latham & Watkins’ entertainment practice in Century City as a partner in the firm’s emerging companies practice.
Shoff was a founding partner in Cooley’s Santa Monica office, where he had worked since 2012.
“In L.A. specifically, there are a lot of entertainment startups,” Shoff said. “We have a client base already, and we’re planning to grow it. That’s kind of my job.”
“Chris’ experience complements our global entertainment, sports and media practice, particularly in matters at the intersection of technology, content and other creative assets,” Century City Deputy Office Managing partner Christopher Brearton said in a statement.
Latham opened its Century City office two years ago, with a team of six sports, media and entertainment lawyers originally from O’Melveny & Myers.
