The City of Beverly Hills is proud to announce the 2015 season of its popular, free outdoor entertainment series Concerts on Canon, which kicks-off Thursday, June 4 with classic Motown tunes by Ray and the Rhythm Beat Band at 6:00 p.m. at Beverly Canon Gardens on Canon Drive between the Montage Hotel and Bouchon restaurant. Tables and chairs are provided on a first-come, first-served basis, but there is plentiful seating on the large, grassy area for your blankets. Parking is available adjacent to Beverly Canon Gardens.
The summer series will feature fourteen concerts with a wide genre of music every Thursday from June 4 through September 3 with two performances at 6:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. The musical entertainment in June includes bands, “California Feetwarmers”, featuring ragtime, Dixieland blues and early swing; “Dakota” plays music from the 60’s and 70’s; and, “Gary Greene, Esq. and his Big Band of Barristers”, performs music from the Golden Era of big bands.
Movie nights are scheduled for five Sundays at 8:15 p.m. deputing with Field of Dreams on June 7 followed by Perfect Pitch on June 28. The movies are shown on a giant, inflatable screen, large enough for your viewing pleasure.
