The Giving Spirit will assemble 2,575 survival kits and hit the streets of Los Angeles from December 11 – December 14 and distribute the kits to children, women and men living on the streets.
The kits contain over 60 items providing survival necessities to the homeless to prepare them for the winter months.
Since its inception in 1999, The Giving Spirit has raised $1.8 million in cash and in-kind donations of goods and food. With this they have positively impacted the vulnerable and fragile lives of over 30,000 homeless in their May and December distributions. During the December event, TGS will be celebrating its 15th year anniversary with many of our volunteers who have made TGS one of the largest all-volunteer organizations in the country.
The Giving Spirit is an award-winning, non-profit organization founded to aid the homeless of the greater Los Angeles area.

Saturday. Dec. 13 – 8 am- 5:00 pm on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and the Valley.
Sunday Dec. 14 – 11 am – 6 pm on the streets of Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Venice Beach and the Valley
Volunteers can assemble kits at a space donated by the Brentwood Presbyterian Church – 12000 San Vicente Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90049
